Clean a working painting easel found on the street

For the purpose of Repair
See how it's done
Est. reading time: 3

Think! Why else do you have a brain?

Cleaning something only costs you time

I thought it would be a shame to let this beauty lying on the street, disposed of by people who are too lazy and stupid to understand that SOMEONE loves to have a painting easel. For some people, this costs a lot of money. And cleaning it up and then giving it away, was for me the right thing to do.

I guess that these people are so focused on themselves that they have totally forgotten what it means to give a present to someone who wants and needs it that has only cost you time and energy.

These days I walk the streets for about 30 to 45 minutes when I really need a break from coding and teaching from home. And every day again, I can't help bring something back, something that was thrown out of the house on the street or into the bin and still works or is useful and repairable at least.

What happens when no one picks it up and reuses it or repairs it or cleans it up? It gets smashed and pressed to pieces in the garbage truck and then ... it's too late.

What is this world we live in?
I believe it's a throw-away-society.
I decide to not participate.

It is my wish that both the Australian people, the government and the people who work for the City Council open their eyes instead of turning away and mustering up another of their thousand excuses.

Think!
